Bangladesh have named a 16 player squad for the Asia Cup. The team now faces the traditional pre tournament challenge of making a travel plan look less like a hostage negotiation conducted through group chat.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has named Litton Das as captain for the tournament. The squad also includes wicketkeeper batter Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan, who returns to the T20I group after almost three years. Before the Asia Cup, Bangladesh will play the Netherlands in a three match T20I series. That is enough cricket to make every suitcase contain both confidence and a charger.

The Asia Cup brings together eight teams next month. For Bangladesh, it is also part of the route towards the next Mens T20 World Cup. The factual sporting plan is clear.
